Pampered, 36K actual mileage, top of the line Mercedes Supercharged performance Sedan, with tons of technology. Originally cost in excess of $100,000.00 new

Big long wheel base Mercedes are not rare, but the Supercharged S55 is kind of special. It’s a big powerful sedan, that is fun to drive and very comfortable. This one in general shows very little wear and, only has 36K miles, and the servicing was all gone through and updated by a local Mercedes-Benz specialist. You can see the leather on the seats, and all components of the car there is hardly any wear at all! Over $100,000.00 new in 2003!

DETAILS OF CAR:

Owner purchased from a Pennsylvania Dealer about 5 years ago(title says 1-13-16). All appears to be mostly original from what we can see, and current owner has had no accidents.

More Significant Features(but not all)

* Zone feature
* Supercharged
* Suspension control
* Navigation
* 6 Disc changer
* ABS
* Moon roof
* Dynamic front seats
* AMG Styling
* Memory seats
* Air bag system
* Tele aid system
* Rear power shade
* Multi function steering wheel
* 2 Sets of keys
* Manuals in glove box(See Pics)

Paint-

* No knowledge of any paint work.

* Paint on body panels seems to match all the way around, and we would not be surprised if it was all original paint. (We will be checking later in listing with a paint gauge.

* The paint is extremely smooth, very shiny, matches well, and we do not see any presence of non factory like orange peel, nor do we see any minute imperfections in the paint. So other than very minimal wear it all looks like original finish would look.

* Very minimal wear even for the low mileage, however under very bright light there is an approx 1 foot long light scratch that does not appear to be all the way through the finish, in the center of the hood. It maybe improved with the correct polishing.

* There are just a couple of light nicks on the front from normal driving. You can zoom in on the pictures to inspect. There are also a few light nicks on the mirrors, and being critical the very top about 6 inches behind the sunroof there are 2 approx 1 inch very light scratches that with proper polish could be improved. There are a couple of nicks on the passenger door, right in the crease below the door handle.

* Under very bright LED lights, below the license plate where the chrome on the bumper runs left to right, in the center there is a 1 inch scratch. The right rear corner had rubbed against something at some point, and has marked the finish. Again on all these things look closely at the pictures.

Body-

* We find the body is very nice and straight. The fits look very uniform all the way around. It would be our guess that the body looks just as it did coming from the factory, with the only exception being the 3 very light door dings in the passenger door. (See Pics)

Magnetic Paint Gauge-

* The hood is of a non-steel material so we are not able to get measurements.

* All of the side panels, including the front fenders, front doors, rear doors, and rear quarters with a couple random samples per panel all read in the 5 to 7 mils range being very consistent. The trunk reads just 1 or 2 thousands higher, as did the roof. This is common to see differences between the tops, and the sides.

* We did not find any obvious panels that have received a complete re-coat on top that should have stood out in the measurements.

* See pictures

Brightwork/ Black Painted Trim-

* All appears to be fastened securely to the car as it is to be.

* The black trim surrounding the windows on the car is in good condition without looking chipped or worn off. In some cases it does have some light oxidation or chalkiness to it, as does the shiny trim piece that runs underneath the windows on both sides, and the wiper arms. We took a little cleaner wax to the left wiper arm/lower portion, and to the right rear door divider between the vent and the rear, and also to a small section on the rear window moldings. Most of that cleaned up nicely, with most all debris removed. These items all look like that of a car just a couple of years old. (See Pics)

* The remainder of the shiny trim that is on the doors handles, body side moldings, front and rear bumpers, logo, grill, hood emblem and model information all seems to be undamaged, and looks like that of a car a couple years old. (See Pics)

* We also note that we think the car has had little exposure because the lenses on the headlights are very clear.

* The black finish on the front lower screen is in nice condition. The one on the right side has maybe been pushed in a half inch, and looks as though it could be easily returned to its prior shape.

Glass-

* The front windshield has the Mercedes emblem with PPG Sungate. The rest of the side glass and rear window all have the Pilkington emblem on them.

* The windshield and all glass is very clear, and free of discoloring, delamination, bull-eyes, cracks, scratches, or wear from windshield wipers.

* Up close there are a few pin head size nicks in the windshield from normal driving. We noticed the rear windows appear more heavily tinted(we believe is a film). Both the left and right rear window do have many very minute vertical scratches in what appears to maybe be the film.

Interior-

* In general you can that it has been cared for and what appears to be limited outside exposure. The interior shows virtually undetectable wear. Everything appears to be of factory configuration, without any noticed modifications or changes.

* Even if you look at the bolster and the bottom of the drivers seat, which typically shows the most wear, it is very limited.

* Upon opening the passengers door you will see some nicks on the inside of the door post.

* The mats show little wear. (See Pics)

Trunk-

* The carpeting in the trunk, the liner on the back of the trunk door, the net, and even the sil really shows as if no one really even put much of anything in the trunk.

* We see no damage to the trunk.

* When you look underneath the carpet the spare is a 245-45-18 Dunlop, the name of the tire is SP-Sport 9000. The tire is holding air, and with the coloring still in between the tread it probably has not been used or little. Look at the tools in the picture, and you see that there might be one missing but the kit seems to be pretty much all intact. Over to the left side you can see what appears to be the jack.

* There is one storage panel, and one panel for the multi disc changer in the trunk.

Wheels and Tires-

* We do not see any outside edge cracking of the rubber. They appear to be in good condition, and where replaced by this owner since his purchase. I believe one tire was more recently replaced, and measuring the depth may determine that.

* The wheels all have nice color, and showing minimal wear with the exception of the right front having a little more paint missing particularly on a couple spokes. The right rear has a little scrapping on the outside spokes.(See Pics)

* If you notice in the servicing records that a couple of the wheels where a little bit out of round which could have happened when the owner did puncture one of the tires that had to be replaced. So all four wheels where evaluated, and corrected in roundness. There are a couple of spots on each wheel where a slight paint touch was performed on the outside edge. Over all they look really nice! (See Pics)

* Continental Extreme Contact

Left Front- 245-45 -ZR18 Tread Remaining 9/32
Left Rear- 265-40-ZR18 Tread Remaining 7/32
Right Front- 245-45-ZR18 Tread Remaining 7/32
Right Rear- 265-40-ZR18 Tread Remaining 9/32

Engine and Transmission-

* Looking under the hood you can certainly tell this is a car that has not had a lot of exposure, or been out in the bad elements much during its life.

* The underside of the hood shows a nice clean insulation pad, and everything under the hood looks as original configuration. We do not see anything that looks to be an obvious change or modification.

* The records that are included in the listing have an explanation of a thorough servicing that the car has just recently been through.

Chassis-

* The bottom side of the car does have belly pans under the engine/transmission and down both sides. Thought they do cover a lot of the bottom side when you look in any of the places around it with a flash light, you can see this car has had very little exposure to weather. All these pans are some type of a non metal, or plastic covering. You can often see when a car has hit bottom or ran over something because you see damage to those pans, and I do not see damage to this underside.

*It appear to be free of any rust perforation, and minimum surface rust because of the car being maintained and not outside a lot.

* We do not see any type of obvious repairs underneath, rust proofing, or painted areas. This is very nice because you are seeing the car in its natural state, without anything being covered up.

* We do not see any leaks or traces of any seepage that is obvious anywhere. In particular you have to look at the pans underneath the engine and transmission, and we do not see any trace of oil other than they do drop the pan possibly for servicing which might have a little on there. Otherwise looks dry, and the rear boots seem to be intact, all the rubber looks nice. If you look at the records there are a few suspension components that where replaced. Its just a really clean underside!

Mechanical-

* Remote unlocks the doors, and marker lights blink and interior lights go on.
* Remote locks doors, and marker lights blink three times and the doors lock.
* Remote trunk release works, and trunk does pop quickly and all trunk lights turn on.
* Parking lights work, left and right side- Front and rear
* Parking lights work in the all parking lights position
* The taillights, license plate light, outer headlights, dim inner lights, and the front side marker lamps all work in headlight position.
* All lights do turn on at dark in the automatic position with the headlight switch.
* When using the left or the right turn signals the amber taillight, amber mirror light, front turn signal lamp, and side marker all illuminate on both sides of the car.
* When you pull out of the headlamp switch you get the very inner front lights as well as the fate light in the center light. The markers and taillights all work at the same time.

* The two side power mirrors fully retract, and extend back out as they should. Both work in all four directions.

* One touch to open or close sunroof is operating.
* On the same panel as the sunroof there is a switch for the interior reading light, front interior light, and above it is a light to turn on the rear lights that are surrounding the vanity mirrors in the rear.
* The front visor vanity mirrors go down and up, the doors operate on each, and light opens on each, and sliding two position mirror works. Upon raising the drivers visor it does not want to stay right at the top, and drops about half to an inch down.

Test Drive-

Chad drove the car a total of 50 – 75 miles on 5 or more occasions, and it has always started right up and immediately runs smoothly. As you can imagine the car is very quiet, and smooth, but yet powerful if you need it. The steering is very precise, and firm, but extremely smooth feeling. The adjustable seats allow you to tailor it to one of the most comfortable settings. The car up shifts, and down shifts under normal driving, and is very smooth. Over all very smooth but one occasion on an entrance ramp I did have the opportunity to put it to the floor, and its just hard to explain the feeling that the car gives you of acceleration. The car stops very quickly and smoothly without any pulsation or pulling. It just an amazingly fun, but enjoyable car to drive. I cant say enough about it never skips a beat, and does what you ask. Its amazing how smoothly, and quickly it pulls.
