Bought new at Bishop Motors Jaguar Dealership. Driven more the 1st few years, spent over a decade in a heated, cooled, and pressurized storage facility with exotics and other big $$ cars. Serviced and most fluids changed out this year with A/C conversion to newer Freon and cools well. Owner bought new and confirmed is original mileage, no accidents, and has original Engine, Trans, and Rear end.

Paint

• Believed to be the original paint as when owner took delivery from Dealer new
• Mostly upper surfaces and between pin striping on each side, you will find paint cracking on most of the hood, top, and trunk panels. It shows up more under LED lighting then it does outside under sun or overcast (see all pics enlarged)
• Finish is very smooth, highly polished and shiny, and seems to match properly all the way around car
• Their are a few minor fine scratches that can be hardly seen and most likely could be improved by rubbing out if wanted (top RR door, RF fender, most significant) (see pics)
• Between the headlight area you will find maybe 6 or so pin head size nicks from normal driving wear. Also chips LF door, trunk edge, R fuel fill, & couple more (see pics)
• Note- you will see some white substance along the front edge of sunroof opening at rear. This is actually wax that didn’t get wiped off
• Pin striping appears to be a decal style and not cleared over / coloring-upper tan and lower gold (meaning it could possible be remove if preferred)(not 100% sure)

Body

• Entire painted body appears to be just as it was produced new in terms of being straight and with correct gaps between panels. The only exception we could find is a small door ding in RR door. (see pics)
• The fits of the hood, trunk, and all 4 doors look appropriate and not looking out of alignment. (see pics)

Magnetic paint gauge

• We took a couple random readings on each body panel. We did not detect any unusual large deviation in readings that would indicate past issues
• The top panels (between the striping) we see a fairly consistent 12-16 mils range of materials.
• The side panels (below the striping) readings were in the 8-12 mils range for the most part

Bright Work

• All bright work appears to be properly secured to the car and we don’t find any pieces that have been damaged. Seems all are just as installed at factory
• Outside in natural light, all appears close to new or maybe a couple year old car
• We don’t see any actually pitting or deep scratches of any bright work
• Under bright LED lights, you will notice the window surround moldings might have a few slight scuffs. Bumpers, grill, gas fillers, door handles, Look more like a 4 yr old car and not almost 40 year old car. (see pics especially up close pics)
• Black bumper inserts show little exposure to outside and have survived well

Glass

• All 8 glass windows have the “TRIPLEX” logo
• All appear clear, no discoloring, no de-lamination, no bulls eyes, no cracks, no deep scratches
• The windshield has a few pin head size nicks from normal road wear & under LED lights shows minimum wiper wear (top 3-4” of wipers swipe)(see pics)
• The remaining 7 windows appear close to new condition
• Rear window was replaced in 1989 / A ball came through garage window pane and broke rear window

Interior

• The interior has held up remarkable well with the limited exposure and storage conditions the car experienced. Again, more like a 4 year old car.
• To sit in it, you feel like your in the Jaguar showroom in 1986. Even the smell!
• We don’t see anything that appears as not being OEM
• Dash panel (in black) and the drivers door arm rest show almost new
• The only exception noticed is slight bolster & bottom scuff on driver seat and driver rocker plate scuff (see pics)

Chassis

• Vehicle has a Uni-body style design and doesn’t have a separate body and frame. Body support members and floor pans seem to be free of any rust perforation with a light coating of wd40 added on most surface rust to preserve further.
• Without being completely covered with undercoating, you are able to better see and understand the actual condition of underside components.
• Drive train shows light seepage of oil from typical areas but nothing extreme showing (see underside pics of engine, transmission, steering rack, and rear end)

Engine Bay

• Under the hood appears just as it was originally designed and built with the exception of maintenance items including battery replacement
• Current servicing included oil & filter change, fuel filters, brake fluid flush, coolant flush, fuel gauge send unit, AC retrofit to R134A, (see pics of bill)
• Engine was not highly detailed so you can see it in mostly original state.
• In the left and right back near engine, we did find a few nut shells from a visitor but no damage was detected
• Note- Battery hold down bracket is included but 1 barrel nut is lost and so can’t be installed properly (trying to get one and install)

Trunk

• Trunk materials show no wear and maybe a small spot to vacuum or clean on floor (see pics)
• Jack & handle stored inside factory matching bag with tie
• Spare tire and wheel in storage well
• Full size fitted Beverly Hills cloth cover included (older)(see pics)
• Regular fitted carpet mats (4)
• Ultra plush mats, part of Vanden Plas package (3 only)(per manual-factory doesn’t supply driver with one)

Tires & Wheels

• 4 Yokohama AVID-TRZ P215-70-15’s See date Codes (2009 on all 4)(see pics)
• Tread depth 11/32 on all 4 tires
• Tires do not show any cracking of outside facing sidewalls
• Rim finish has held up well with just a little slight cracking on each wheel visible under bright lighting (see pics)
• Suggest new tires for road use

Mechanical

• Headlights work (high beam & low beam)
• Front parking lights work
• 4 side marker lights work (red & amber)
• Turn signals work (L & R)(front & back)
• tail lights work
• Brake lights work
• Back up lights work
• License plate light works
• Courtesy lights inside on all 4 doors work
• Power antenna operates up & down
• Starts hot or cold without touching gas pedal
• Manual drivers seat adjust works

• Left & right outside power mirrors operate in all 4 directions
• All 4 power windows go completely up and down smoothly (rears slightly slower)
• Sunroof opens and closes smoothly
• Dial for dash gauge lights intensity operates
• 4 way flashers operate
• Oil pressure gauge operates (reads about 50 lbs when idle, cold engine)
• Volt gauge operates (reads about 13 at idle)
• Speedometer, odometer, tachometer all work
• Fuel gauge operates for both tanks (button on dash)
• Temperature gauge operates and stays in normal zone
• Rear defogger shows operating (light on dash)(warm day)
• Under dash panel light operates (above heater controls)
• Cigarette lighter works (red hot)
• Information center was reset and so no info but each button seems to operates and light up green
• Climate control system / temp setting / blower speeds / AC / Heat / Defroster / all operate / heats and cools well
• Am & Fm radio operates / Cassette player has cassette in it and haven’t been able to remove / not playing at this time
• Cruise control operates
• Gear selector operates in all selections
• Windshield wipers operate (car clean -didn’t try washers)

Test Drive

• Chad has driven the car about a dozen times and totaled approx. 20 miles
• Driving noticed car to feel very solid, smooth and quiet
• Steering operates very smoothly (full L to R), precisely, and very responsive
• Engine starts quickly and runs well, (hot or cold) and accelerates and slows smoothly as well (requires 87 Octane unleaded)
• Transmission up-shifts and downshifts smoothly and seems to be appropriate (including reverse)
• Brakes stop you quickly with assist / don’t notice any pulling or rotor pulsation
• Tires do seem to have flat spots from sitting and you do feel a vibration / mileage and warming may help that issue (or new tires)
• Emergency brake works smoothly and does hold car

Major rust/rot, undisclosed problems with the frame, etc. might constitute a legitimate reason for the buyer to refuse to follow through with the sale. In that situation, the seller and buyer will try to reach an agreeable solution.

The buyer acknowledges that he has had the opportunity to inspect the vehicle to verify it is as listed and represented. He accepts the vehicle with all advertised equipment, options and accessories in “AS IS” condition with any faults or defects. The buyer will bear all future costs of repairs or correcting any defects that exist or may occur in the future.
